The band Tume (est. for “Dark”) consists of 3 guys who are all blind: Gerth (Gerth Jaanimäe), Ice (Jürgen Dengo) and Darkside (Aleksei Brjantsev). Everything about them is dark - the world they live in, the clothes they wear, the humor in their lyrics. Their songs are joyfully morbid and socially critical. Recurring themes are fire and the northern wind.

Despite their handicap, Tume performs frequently in their hometown Tartu - anywhere from shopping mall openings to indie parties. While blindness makes many activities difficult or impossible, music is not one of them. Music does not require eyes, it lives in their fingertips. They are managed by a guy nicknamed Mr. Big. As a promoter and radio host, Mr. Big is a legendary figure in the Tartu music scene.

This short documentary featured on MetropolisTV.nl focuses on the band members - their music, their philosophy and the rockstar life on the stages of South Estonia. A bit like Spinal Tap, but real!
